There should be two wires from the parking light/blinker type of housing. The original parking light wire will go into one lead and the turn signal in the other. The easy way to tell them apart is that the blinker should be brighter than the parking light. I made this conversion on my own truck and it worked out perfectly.

Mine has single wires, single filament bulbs. Everythingthing has the stock butt connector plug-ins. Fender mounted turn signals were single wire too. The donor truck had two wire lamps but it looks like too much work to change them

You can replace the lamp assemblies or replace the sockets with dual contact models. Otherwise, I think the easier way would be to position a marker light (maybe behind the grill?). Or run a side marker light bulb and socket into the parking lamp assembly. Use the marker light as your parking light and the original parking light as your turn signal.

I have the two wire lamp assemblies from the donor but don't want to disassemble the grille to install them. Where can I buy a bulb socket that I can install by just removing lens?

Can I access the lamp housings mount nuts from underneath? Without removing everything?

Look here for sockets: https://www.rockauto.com/en/tools/el...al+socket,4092

Unless you have a 1960 grille in your '59 you should be able to change parking lights by removing the two nuts on the back. You can access them from underneath or through the wheel well, turn the front of the tire away from you and you should be able to get in there to work on it.

The inboard nuts are behind the radiator support but it looks like I made holes to access the nuts years ago when I did the cab swap. It's no fun getting old.
