Quarter Windows

I bet I'm not the first.

I'd like to put opening quarter-windows on my 2k Expy XLT. It seems like most of the EBs are so equipped, and I'm jealous.

Seriously, though, I know that they make a TREMENDOUS difference in airflow through the cabin. I *loved* them on my Ranger SuperCab, and they rock in my Venture WB.

The only thing better IMO would be a pair of old-school front-door vent windows ;->

So, about those opening quarter-windows. I don't necessarily care if they are electrically powered. Any ideas? Parts recommendations?

Best regards,

xpanmanx these windows are a good idea but just the logistics of doing this type of a conversion will be rather expensive; 1st of
all new 1/4 glass will have to be bought [ I had to replace drivers side & the least expensive one i found was $398.00] but if you
had access to a new set of windows the conversion would be
easy the anchor points all seem the same but may still have to be manual during opperation. The only drawback is that occasionaly the electric 1/4 windows will sag enough too touch
the body & you will have to peridiocaly adjust this window issue.
if you do this conversion keep us posted!

Hey leadfoot the only thing that i have noticed that in the winter they do not sag as much but during the 100*+ days is when it sags, i used a rubber o- ring to see if that would help hold them in place & it did a lot better. Just remove the bolts one at a time
& use a feelerguage to level off glass. I had posted a thread in this forum previously & i did not recieve any info plenty of views
but no ideas; not even the guys at the glass shops had ideas.
good luck turbo ted

Hey there turbo ted,

Sorry for the late response, I've been away from the computer for several days. Anyway, thanks fo rthe O ring idea. Once the weather gets better & I find some time, i'll tinker with this. If I come up with any alignment ideas, I'll let ya know.
