Now that it is getting hot out, I am noticing my new to me F-450 has low AC air volume. It's blowing cold, but at what I'd estimate is 60% speed. I'm comparing this to my 2019 F-250. The issue persists no matter what vents I am having the air come out of. First thing I did was change the cabin air filter. It was dirty, but there was no indication of excessive filth.
Any suggestions on other things I can check before I bring it in to the shop and get hammered?

With the filter out, can you reach into the fan to make sure nothing is in it? I don’t remember if the fan is accessible on my ‘19 but have had leaves fall off the top of the filter while sliding it out of its housing on the Edge. They’ll definitely keep the squirrel cage blower from working at its best.
Unless there is another part I am unaware of, that is the cabin air filter I mentioned I had changed.
Sorry, I missed that in your OP.
I would pull the filter back out and use an inspection mirror to see if there is a mouse nest or other debris that you can see in the ducts. I would also try using a shop vac to see what I might be able to pull out seeing as you are already there.
Only animal I know in that truck is me. I'll get in there with a light and mirror to confirm though.
I have the same problem. (Animal)
Did you verify that is not being split between other ducting, in other words, you have it on vent and it's come out the floor or to defrost or possibly both?

I have the controls set properly for max AC coming out of the dash ducts. Turning recirculation on and off doesn't change the volume.
No clue if the blend door and ducting doors are actually moving as they should.
is it low all the time or does it start at full blast then get weaker? I had a truck with low refrigerant once and the evaporator was freezing up and blocking airflow, it would start out normal and gradually lose flow as you drove it. If it's low you could try adding some refrigerant.
my 21 was doing that after a changed filters. went with special charcoal extra hepa filter. Threw that out and put regular factory one in and air volume returned.
