Upfitter controls require attention

I keep getting this alert on my center screen. As far as I know I do not have this feature, if I do I know it is not being used.
If I tap (go to feature ) it just disappears.

if you have upfitter switches they will be in the overhead console.

Depending upon year, the box with fuses for the upfitter switches will be either on the drivers or passenger side under the hood.

It a 24 lariat c&c. Yes I have the overhead switches but they are not hooked up to anything. I was thinking box link for some reason when that error code popped up.

This is just a guess but, based on the message, I don't think it has anything to do with the Upfitter switches. I think the Upfit Control is part of Ford's Upfit Integration System that allows more seamless equipment additions to C & C trucks.

Search for "Ford ProTM Vehicle Integration System".

So wonder if it has to do with some of those wires on the passenger side kick panel that were designed for the purpose?

Ok so it looks like that feature is standard in my trim level. I was certain I had not added it because I knew I would not be using it.

Yes, This is definitely related to the Upfit integration System (Now called the Vehicle Integration System 2.0). It is standard on your truck because it is a C&C, not the trim level. I actually see this message every time I write a configuration file to the system (make a programming change). Has it done it since truck was new or did it just start? I would check the connections on the module, and maybe unplug the module and let it sit for a while and plug it back in. The module is directly behind the glove box. The top connector is what has the power & CAN signals for the module.

It sounds like the module has failed, or has a CAN Bus issue. I can create this symptom on my truck by removing the connector highlighted in my earlier post.

Make sure that connector is fully seated!

Ford replaced the module under warranty and the problem seems to be resolved.

Excellent, Too bad you are not closer to me, I could help you get it programmed so you could actually use it.

@TJP249 I bought a ‘24 Tremor off the lot ordered and not picked up by someone else that has this option. This from what I read is used for plows and such. What is it that you use it for? I’m in Richmond, Va. is it worth me getting this turned on? If so could you assist?

Here is a link to several videos about it. In its simplest for you can use it like the upfitter switches, but it has quite a bit of capability beyond that for complex scenarios requiring inputs and various logic and CANbus triggers. I may be able to assist with some basic programming if you traveled up to DC area. You can send me a PM if you want discuss further.

How do I program it? I have FDRS. I have been looking for this modification software but don't know how to customize it. Can you tell me how to do it? Thank you
