I looked at the install instructions for DRW kit Torxz Traction Bar Kit Install F250/F350 & F450 Installation Manual

looks like its a short traction bar mounting to the frame immediately before the forward leaf spring bolt.....is this the kit you have? should be fine for my DRW.

saw the video for the s&b install. the video shows removing the lower leaf on the leaf stacj and the install pdf does not......not too crzy about removing the lower leaf stack and that would be a show stopper for the s&B traction bar choice.

will call them to see if that step is really necesary.

Yes,that is where mine mount to. you do not have to remove the lower leaf. You can however flip it over to get a little better flex out of the spring pack itself. On a truck like yours I dont think I would sweat that. I did not get the kit with lift blocks. Mine replace the lower mount itself.. I am running the PMF deaver springs and shackles now, NO block. I will get some pics tomorrow and post them up.

I interesting

i was going to rotate my tires this weekend but I’ll hold off on that…removing 480lbs of rear wheels when doing the track bar would make things easier.

Fritz, did you have to drill holes in the frame for those?

the long bars need 8 holes per side.

For the long bars they give you bolt pairs that are strapped together ….you have to fish them thru the frame using the nearest 1” hole.

Or you can weld them in if you want

Ok, I'm to assume these are for pavement princess correct or haulers?

Let me see if I understand what the traction bar does. It holds the rear axle from moving front to rear. Only in a neutral / centered position. Now for right to left movement there is none. Example coming off an uneven surface with a foot of drop whether gradual or sharp drop off. Now, with a normal rear suspension the rear axle will move up and down ( flex ) with the contour of the ground. If you are putting this traction bar in place and it does not move. What stresses are you putting on the axle welded or bolted on to the axle? I'm not seeing where the system articulates. Maybe I'm not understanding the system.

I watched this video from Wehrli Custom Fabrication Inc. Their traction bar ( WC Fab ) seems to articulate front and rear while, the above systems from S&B and One Up Off Road do not. Do we want articulation?

What is the preferred bar length 60 / 68 inches?
