2014 5.0 Coyote Replacement
Howdy...
I purchased a reman 5.0 Coyote to replace original motor that had valve issues. The motor has all of the updates so this question does not pertain to those common updates like oil pump etc. that are pretty well documented. Unfortunately, I was not able to locate the Ford OEM rebuild due to backorder and not just long but non-existant lead time estimates. I did, however, upgrade to a version that is all OEM and includes updates as mentioned above. My mechanic will do the swap, not me. I have informed him of the "noise" on the internet around OEM and OEM equivalent so he will give it a good look when received to make sure I get what I paid for. So with that out of the way...
A couple of questions:
1. I plan to replace the oil dipstick and tube. Any reason to go OEM here or does the Dorman at half the price get er done?
2. Any other ancillary parts I should replace while we have it torn apart?
3. Any other tips/advice from experience?
Thanks in advance!

I purchased some off brand dipstick tube from Amazon. Every time I pull the dipstick to check the oil, the tube comes with it. It will not stay snapped into the valve cover. I'm too cheap to replace it, but if and when I do I will buy the OEM part.
