Need some Advice

Hi Everyone,

My 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 finally gave out and I need a new truck. I have always admired Ford and am looking to buy one here tomorrow. I've done plenty of research but can't decide between the 2.7L V6 and the 5.0L V8. I work from home, so I don't really drive much or pull anything, which is why I am leaning more towards the 2.7L. I have heard mixed reviews about the Ecoboost, and I would like to get more information from people who own that truck. Also, I haven't bought a car in the last 20 years, so I am a little rusty on what I need to look for. I have added three trucks to the shared fax that I am going to see and test drive tomorrow.

Here are the links:

I am leaning towards the first one and the second, but any advice is highly appreciated. Also, please provide any advice that I need to watch out for when buying from a dealership

I'd buy whichever one still has factory drivetrain warranty left, then have the TSB performed on the transmission that gets the new design black anodized CDF drum.

Thank you for your reply and advice. I have read a lot of issues for the 2019 5.0 V8 engines with the oil consumption issue. I probably want to skip that one.

Did anyone deal seriously with Fuse 27 relocation? It can cause a lot of issues before it becomes a non-starting issue. Much cheaper fix for sure. And, if it has not been done, it needs to be done even if it is not the root cause.

Best value for your money, least distance traveled and a price that’s within your budget. Just go for it.

I own a 17 v8, and I really like it. Sure, it needs repairs every now and then. But since I know how to work on cars, I handle it myself. It's been awesome; I've had it for 8 years and it has 100,000 miles on it.

Any truck requires some attention occasionally. I can tell you from experience that my extended warranty was a complete waste of cash. They only covered things are usually items that don’t break. Ha.

There is millions of these trucks out there. I must be a bo-tard because i couldn't get any of your links to work to see the trucks you listed. Which i like looking at trucks.
