Dowel Pins
Forgive me if this question has been asked, I dont see the answer when searching.
I am about to start doing head gaskets on my truck. Do I need to remove the dowel pins from the block. Only advantage I see to doing this is if they are not damaged is to make it easier to clean the head. If I need to remove them, is there a special tool to remove them or how is that achieved?

Thanks! Didn't know if they were pressed in and I would need a special puller to pull them out.
