Fold Flat Seats
Fold Flat Seats
I am looking to order a new 2025 F-350 Lariat and I am thinking about ordering the fold flat seats. I do take naps in my pickup, and wondering if anyone can tell me they are legit and worth the price.
I haven't had my truck long, nor have I napped in it, but to me, it was one of my favorite add ons. Just having the wings of the seat behind my shoulder blades makes having them worth it. Honestly, that alone is why I ordered them. The option to maybe someday later take a siesta is just a bonus.
I have had two 2024 Super Dutys now, both with and without the Max Recline Seat option - and I prefer the Max Recline for upper back support. I also have not had a chance to put it to the sleep test. Keep in mind that the rear seat needs to be flipped up to go all the way back.
I did a long road trip in a 150 that had them
I didn't recline them ..bit the shoulder wing things were very nice providing a bit more upper comfort
If I orderd a truck yes
are they deal breaker ...? No
My king ranch seats in last 4 ford's have been really comfortable on long drives

What everyone else said. Order them. The upper portion alone makes the option worth the price.

My wife has chronic pain, we do regular 2 hour and 5 hour drives. Ya know, we have put her seat in full down mode while driving. Yep, for sure, dangerous if there is a crash as the seat belts are configured for chest and waist retention when sitting upright. We've only done it on wide-open freeway sections through rural desert areas with sparse traffic. She is aware of the risk, I figure it's not as bad as reclining a regular seat and putting her feet on the dash board (over top of the airbags) like she used to have to do. She loves it.
If the seat is down and the truck is put into gear, the truck will give a warning that can be "OK"ed away. It will stay off until the truck comes to a stop, and when it starts moving again on the same keyed run cycle, the alarm will pop up again, which cancels easily again.
Go ahead and flame me (us), I understand. You may not.

Thank you to everyone in the thread! Im new to the channel as a chatter, and really glad I did so. I'm committed to the same thing as everyone else here -- quality info to help good decisions. So decision made, fold flat for sure! Stolivitch
Timing is everything.. Last Friday I actually took a nap in mine for the first time. I'll be the lone voice of decent. I did not think it was comfortable fully reclined. It didn't stop me from sleeping but just wasn't all that great. As for as overall comfort, I think these seats are much more comfortable than the seats in my last truck a 2019 F-250 limited.
