Chrome strip
Has anyone removed the chrome strip on the lower portion of the door? What's behind it? Is it mounted in holes on the door?

mine is an XLT,
never had the strip on it,
no holes in the door
I assume it has a glue on backing

That's what I was hoping for. Just didn't want to start removal & find holes that need filling

Project Time Garage on YouTube has been fixing up a F-100/150? that he found in a salvage yard....
in the 2nd to last video, he showed removing that strip with a Heat Gun, he stole from his wife's bathroom....
the glue softened up, and he used a plastic trim tool to slowly ease the trim off.
this is the last video on that truck
after he repaired the dents, and painted the truck, with Rattle Can grey, he put the trim back on.

Strangely (because I didn't notice it for months after buying it), I found that my Ex only had a chrome strip on one side. I'm the second owner, and there's no sign that there ever was one on the other side. But I can confirm there are no holes.
