Intake gaskets

I'm getting ready to change my intake gaskets on my 90 F250, 5.8 due to coolant leak. Should I use the cork front and rear gaskets or is silicone a better choice? I was told to use silicone on my ex chevy because it worked better than the rubber gaskets.

Yes! Definitely stick with the RTV in the front and back, and junk the cork for those spots. I've done the same on both Chebbies and Fords, and have had not a problem that way.

I did mine for the same reason
used the cork gaskets, but you have to (according to
the book) use RTV at all 4 corners.

I used it not only on the corners but also along the cork,
has worked fine so far.

Thanks for the replies, I think I'll leave them out and go with the silicone. It worked great on a couple of chevy's I owned in the past.
