Ford IDS vcm3
I have decided I'm going to get the vcm plug and the IDS software in order to reprogram the transmission in my 2010 f150. I have forscan and it will not do what I needed to do. It seems the older the vehicle you get the less options you have in forscan.
And once I get this I'll probably offer some small services like reprogramming to people in the neighborhood and nearby vicinity.
That being said, does anyone have any advice or recommendations or anything in regards to this or any experiences in this?

It should come with a 3 day all access pass then prompt you to buy the software (IDS). Don't know if you've looked into pricing yet but it's very expensive. I purchased the system after I left the dealer for my own vehicles, I rationalized it as an accessory to my purchase and made some side $$ to help pay for it.
After you get the hardware, you can always opt for their 3 day access pass that gets you all the software, diagnostic and other info directly from Ford's database for fairly cheap.
