Limo mode

My 6.7 diesel will periodically go into complete limp mode, idle only.

once you restart all is good…but no codes to explain problem. Dealers are stumped.???

Limp mode without a code?
That's a new one on me.
Going to have to catch it with the dealer scan tool when it is doing it so you can see what it is doing.

The dealership is also stumped. The problem, if you do not restart truck you are going nowhere 👎

Heck, get the batteries load tested.
Some really screwy stuff happens with a battery with internal issues, even though it may still start the truck okay.

True, I Will have batteries load tested, but not sure how this issue could happen without leaving a code….very strange problem.

Our OBS trucks computer(limp mode, no codes) is usually toast when all that happens, wonder if you could unplug something, with it running, and see if code/check engine comes on then? what year, miles?
