Bars One Seal Stop Leak
So I wanted to suck some of the old Mercon V out and replace it, any way's, as I did a few years back. Today I used my suction gun and long hose and sucked out 3qts. Then put in the Bars One Seal, followed by 2.5qt's of Mercon V from Walmart. Walmart has the Bars for $6.00, Mercon V for $7.00. Then tool the truck for a ride, it had been sitting for over a week. Oh, Walmart will take the old fluid for free. You just have to fill out a log sheet.
After the 80 mile drive, I checked the weep hole under the tranny, it was dry. I went back out an hour later, still dry. I'll check in the morning a see if it's still dry.
I did fill the gas tank as I plan to do a little more driving to see how this works. It's 11 miles down to the gas station I like, So after 70 miles since filling, the gauge is reading just below 3/4 tank. This truck has always dropped quickly, then will take forever to get from 1/3 left to empty. I'm used to it, so it's not a big thing.
Edit:
Just checked again, it's been 2 hours since the last look. Still dry at the weep hole.
