2001 Excursion 3rd brake light
Hello,
I am in need of a new 3rd brake light and cannot find one that is the Excursion specific model (P/N YC3Z-13A613-AA). It is discontinued and everything I see popping up when searching says it’s also for Superduties or F-150s as well, and it is my understanding that these do not fit well.
Any recommendations?

you are correct, the Superduty version doesn't fit correctly. They tend to let water leak inside the cab. You can sometimes find the X version on eBay for sale. And in junkyards.
I've actually pondered this because my current light is age decrepit. Best bet is to liberally seal the cavity with silicone or butyl rubber if you are forced to use a Superduty version. I've been on the lookout for a decent X light to snag, but haven't come across one worth buying yet, or at least in better condition than my current one. I have a roll of butyl tape from another project, and automotive silicone. Push comes to shove, I plan on getting a nice Superduty light with integrated bed camera and installing it with overkill sealing.
