As Jason said above, oil is up to you. If you have a few minutes to look over an oil analysis thread I created a while back, it might give you some insight on which brand and weight is right for your application.

I'm going to drain the transmission and change the filter. I'm going to do a complete oil change, I'm going to use the motorcraft filter. But what about the transmission oil? Mercon V ???
For the rear end and transaxle, I would like to use shaffers gear oil, just because we use it on all of our gear boxes on our equipment. BUT, I'm open to suggestions.
The steering damper is OEM and starting to leak. I'm going to put Blistein shocks on and same for steering damper??
