I'm working on a 2001 F250 Crew cab and trying to figure out what Wire/Circuit 7 (LG/YE) on pin 2 of Connect 217 goes to. I'm trying to not have to tear the wiring loom apart to trace it, but i can't find it in any of the wiring diagrams. Thanks
Those link you posted are for F150 not F250. I’ve been through almost all the diagrams on charm and couldn’t find it.
Sorry about that. I don't have access to any other diagrams. That connector appears to route separate groups of wires and is not directly connected to a single device. So the device connector diagrams aren't useful. I have also been stumped looking for these types of connectors in Charm.
Hey guys, I have looked through the tech folders and good ole Google didn't help, does anyone know what terminals fit inside the under hood fuse block? I have spaces that are blank because they are for options my truck doesn't have and would like to use those for adding things like off road lights/ strobe lights. I'm trying to prevent the use of those fuse taps.
if this isn't the right spot for this question let me know and I can move it.
You won't find any specs on the fuse block terminals. I have a '97 Econoline and was able to add fuses to the engine compartment fuse block and the under-dash fuse block. I think these items are the same for many Ford trucks.
Here's a write up on the fuse block inside the vehicle. I was lucky enough to have a selection of terminals in a kit and matched the terminals in the fuse block. I got the part number from my terminal kit. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...oem-style.html
The fuse terminals in the engine compartment are more difficult. I harvested some terminals with wire attached from a junkyard vehicle. The terminals don't release without damaging them so I cut the fuse box apart to get several terminals. You have to solder extension wire onto the donor terminals but this allows for a clean fuse installation.
Bring some sharp wire cutters are metal shears to get the fuse box apart.
