Truck will not start after replacing turn signal switch
I just replaced the turn signal switch because the turn signals and wipers barely worked and I traced the problem to the switch. After installing the new switch I went to start the truck and all it will do is crank. I can hear the fuel pump working and the engine is cranking just not starting, and it ran perfectly fine before replacing that switch.
Im still pretty new to ford trucks and Im very confused. Any suggestions?
It's more likely that you bumped or damaged your near-by ignition switch, which will definitely affect your engine.
Check for spark while you're cranking your engine, and go from there.
Those ignition switches also can come apart and even start the truck on fire
The testing...
They call it interrogation
You interrogate that ignition switch by moving the wire connector around while you cycle the key back and forth
Act like a 2 or 3 year old kid and go after it with the key and wiring
Have you checked to see if there is spark when it cranks-no start?
Do you know where the SPOUT plug is below the diagnostic connector under the hood?
Is the switch you replaced at the base of the steering column? (edit, sorry, another thread)
