I swapped a built 460 in place of my 390fe in my 75 highboy. It was definitely more expensive. I got the L&L kit and their headers. Then you need the 460 with all the accessories including pulleys and saginaw pump. Unless you build up the 460 you won't be increasing the power too much.

I'd do the 427 personally. Original engine series so THAT'S COOL. 427's are rare so THAT'S COOL! Second choice would be a stroker on the 428. Maybe build a stroker out of the 360 for a future swap, keep it regardless since it's the original engine.
