Hey everyone. Anyone ever heard of or done a 460 swap into a Humvee? I know there’s many different GM swaps that are fairly easy, but I don’t want to go that route. I know there will be ALOT of planning and fabrication, but the end result will be awesome.

Sure its doable, but with the current value of these do you really want to put a 460 in it? I don't see the 460 as a value addition.

 

agreed. while it will be a great improvement, the 460 will be worth more than it's wrapper.

 

You didn't mention what 460. Would it be carb truck motor or efi? If I can swap a 460 into a ****** truck the humvee should be easy. Does it currently have a 6.2 or 6.5 in it?
I highly agree with the other guys here but I'll ask what's your plan for an end result?

 

I honestly have no idea why someone would want a HMMWV for off-roading unless you're in the desert. So many trails are too narrow for them.
