6 speed trans

Check this out. My question is why 2018-2020 are not included as it is the same transmission.

Ford has done this for a good while with the 6-speed. Recall a certain year here or there, but not the whole range even though players come in showing symptoms yet aren’t covered. Not a huge shock.

2017 3.5 EcoBoosts, and most 2018-2020 F150s, had the new 10R80 10 speed, which has zero in common with the 6 speed auto. The only 18/19 models with the 6 speed were the base 3.3 V6 equipped trucks.

I wonder if that means Ford is going to compensate the people who had to pay for repairs out of their own pocket because of faulty parts like that stupid lead frame. I already know the answer.......

They may have already corrected it by the time your truck was built. The 6 speed is still used in the Transit van too, so it never went away.

Check with your local Ford dealer.

Might be "the same" transmission but it's not the same. There's running changes and updated parts used over time, that's why recalls, TSBs etc have effective beginning and end dates.
