My camera stopped working, and just shows a blue screen. I had removed the tailgate, but without disconnecting the wires, and simply rotated the tailgate to lay in the bed.
Sometime after is when I noticed the camera wasn't working - so I'm assuming it's from what I did.
Whats the easiest way to test the wire to see if everything is still connected and not torn or ripped? taking out the harness and then continuity tests?
Haven't had good luck with these tailgate camera wires myself. They never seem to want to go back together after you take them apart. It's possible you pulled it apart somewhat if the wires were stretched taught.
Personally I think they need to ditch the plug-in style and go with something that screws together, or something like the connections for trailer-mounted cameras. These plugs are WAY too tight.
