Tailgate recall

Took my truck in less than 2 weeks ago to address the tailgate recall. Prior to this, I only had one unexplained opening of the tailgate on my 2017. AFTER the recall repair, I just had my tailgate drop unexpectedly. Luckily no damage. It had rained heavily the day before. Anyone else have this issue?

At least one other person has posted about having this happen. The "fix" involves cutting and soldering on the wire harness, one can imaging a tech getting it wrong...
