Pretty sure my air recirculate isn't working. I'll have it on, LED lit up on the recirc selector button, and it still seems like outside air is making it's way into the truck FAST. It's skunk season here in TN and when I pass one that's gave up the ghost on the road it's like the smell comes through the vents immediately and strong(might as well have the windows down with how bad it is). I've tried toggling auto and manual AC settings but to no avail. How do I go about diagnosing/remediating this?
if you use the automatic button...the air refresh comes on periodically....even if recirculate button is selected.
I have been experimenting with not using the automatic button and instead using the touch screen in climate to control air.
live in nyc..and mostly heavy traffic and I would prefer not to have any outside air.....if I dont find a solution may wind up taping the intake duct inlet with duct tape. if I want air...ill crack the window.
nothing in forscan to perm disable auto air refresh either.
Doesn't matter if it's in auto or manual, I'm pretty sure the recirculate door is letting in "fresh" air 24/7. I'll fiddle with the settings some more and see if I can get it to do some magic lol My wife is getting fed up with the roadkill smells outside
I've seen some other forums talk about resetting the actuator by pulling the fuse but can't re-find them. Anyone know what fuse to pull to reset the actuator?

Hi there. Feel free to send us a DM with your vehicle's VIN and mileage. We'd be happy to look into this concern for you.

On occasion I've had this issue with my 2021 F-350 6.7 - can never figure it out. Please keep us posted once you hear from the Ford folks
once dead skunk smell is in the vehicle, roll down all windows, it will only take a minute or so for it to be gone. iv never had a vehicle that would keep skunk out , no matter what the ducts were on.

Any update to this? My 22 is doing the exact same thing. I know the recirc is not working because I could physically hear the difference between the 2 modes before and now it stays the same. The light goes on but it’s not switching over
^^ this, the motor is probably out of whack. It will pop a code under the HVAC so a scan tool can verify. The motor is inexpensive, the Labor though!!!!!! Hope you still have B2B.
