I'd go with a new Motorcraft oil filter & cap. Looks like you've got the taller aftermarket one on there now, which would be consistent with Wix. If you use an aftermarket cap with an OEM filter it can cause oil supply issues...
For true. I learned the hard way, use the cap which matches the filter. In sixty-seven years of changing oil, this is the first time I've run across name brand aftermarket oil filters being sufficiently non-compliant to cause major problems. WTF???

6.0L like OEM parts, cap and filter should definitely be OEM, the reason being the check valve in the bottom of the oil filter housing may stay open causing a lack of filtration.
In that case you definitely have a 2005 engine. Mine was built probably a few days before yours and has a 2005 Engine.
Buy yourself a STC fitting kit from a Ford Dealer. If your EGR cooler is still present, you'll need an EGR install kit too to make sure you don't have any leaks.
I had a couple hours to charge up the batteries and get into this again. Attached is a photo of the CTS during cranking, it took 13-17 seconds to show low oil pressure on the dash gauge… Again any input is appreciated
