Try wiggling the shifter or the column while trying to turn the key.

I gather you have sprayed some penetrating fluid in there ?

Your not using the door key are you ? the ignition key is shaped different.

Used the right key and two different ones. Have to try spraying wd40 in it.

Can we assume you use the truck and this just happened, or has the truck been sitting for a while ?

Yeah pulled in front of the house turned it off came back the next day and this thing will not move at all. Jiggling the transmission lever tapping and lubricated the cylinder key moves in and out freely nothing is releasing the key to turn forward or back

Are the front tires straight or turned to the side ? That can put a load on the levers. I'm one of those people that always makes sure I have the front wheels pointed straight before I turn off the key.

For that answer, you'll have to wait for one of the experts. Karl. Or one of the Dave's will chime in soon.

You can try asking google too...

Dave's not here man

I was going to say the wheels turned and try turning the wheel left right when trying the key.

As for how to get the key part out and not being able to turn the key sorry to say I dont know.
I know you said you tried 2 different keys have you also flipped them over and moved them when turning?
I know this has happened before but I never really followed it.
Try and search for it.

Had this happen to my 89. It's just old and wore out and the ignition switch tumbler fell apart. They sell them at the autoparts store with new keys.

Get a large screwdriver or chisel and a hammer. Put the chisel or screwdriver behind the chrome part of the tumbler, and give it a couple of good wacks to break it off. Then you can get something small up along side the tumbler and push the little keeper pin to slide it out. Believe or not, this is straight from the factory manual.
