On my 2000 Ranger XLT, I have this:
And what I need is to find this:
On a 1990 Ranger I owned, the armrest was connected to the drivers seat. This doesn't seem to be. Two of the bigger Ford online parts sites, list the armrest as discontinued. Ford Motors claimed my local dealer wasn't in the Ford parts system! Several other sites only dealt in drivetrain parts. A few had seats, but not anything that resembles an armrest. Rockauto had aftermarket seats and covers. So did Carparts.com, who bought out J.C.Whitney. Ebay said they don't have it. I did find what may have been the metal inside frame, but no padding. I found several consoles, some padded, some even had cup holders. So other than a junkyard, anybody know where I can find one? Thanks!
Those armrests are crap. Why Ford didn't support the front of it for some reason is beyond me. That said, I looked on amazon and it seems like some aftermarket parts are available. I just searched on 2002 ford ranger armrest because mine is broken and I'd like to replace it. I found the mounting bracket, but no pad. But I think I can reuse the padded portion. 1990 is a bit older though. Might try a junkyard or ebay (edit, I see you've already considered those options).
