I bought a 2024 KR 6.7 in October of last year so Ive been lurking here for a good little while now. Unfortunately I finally have a reason to ask a question.
On auto up my driver side window does the dreaded bounce back. I’ve watched numerous videos on how to perform the relearn and so far have been unsuccessful in getting this resolved.
Is the relearn different for a 24 model as opposed to say a 22? I really don’t want to bring it the dealer just for this. Hope you guys can help me understand why my window won’t relearn its endpoints.
For reference, this is the last video I tried using. Followed it to a T multiple times with no success. So now I’m just at a point of frustration.
FWIW I had the same issue and I had the dealer resolve it the last service.
I am, what I would like to think, good at watching a youtube and fixing the issue.
But no luck for me either.
how did it unlearn it in the first place ? thats probly the bigger question. with all the electrical problems i see poeple have i dont think ill ever buy a newer truck.
some guy on the other sd site had his windows go all the way down on their own as a storm passed. supposedly by some miracle he noticed they were down before the interior was trashed but still some damage had to been done.
i couldnt even imagine. practically drain your life savings buyin the truck and windows go down on their own from shoddy electronics as a storm rolls in and destroys the interior in every way. who pays for that ? really it doesnt matter as the truck would never be the same again

I wish I had that answer. Nothing changed. Nothing replaced. Just went to work, rolled down the window to badge in, hit auto up and it started this nonsense.

Same here.
I’ll check that thread out and give it a shot.
I appreciate everyone’s reply. Thanks
I accidentally screwed mine up once because I hadn't unlearened another manufacturer muscle memory combined with perfect timing. As soon as it screwed up I remembered reading about the window bounce. Mine happened entering a parking garage combined with a few cycles that caused it to get in learn mode. It was kind of funny at the time.

Since you don't own one and sounds like you're still saving up, I fill you in: It is possible to open the windows up accidentally with the key fob, if you have it enabled. And short of it destroying elecitcal stuff vehicles survive rain just fine inside, you just have to handle it right.
So I tried the instructions from post 6 and that did the trick! Attaching the instructions again for future reference. It seems the hold down at the first detent for 12 seconds is the missing piece not shown on YouTube.
I posted in that other thread and have tried to relearn mine several times. It seems fixed but, eventually it comes back. I think I may have to do the dealer thing.

I’m the one that posted those instructions and its still working fine for me…
but, could you be holding the button in the second detent when you use your window? It’s really a dumb button design but i think holding them in the auto position up and down could be something that sets these things off. The older style buttons were kinda the same but for some reason easier to use.

You could be on to something but, I don’t think so. I’ve closed the window purposely on the first detect and the bounce back started. I’m curious what the dealer has done for those that took there’s in.
I wonder if this will help the slight bounce i get when the driver's window is fully closed and i go over a bump. Sounds like the window is sliding down and up an 1/8 of an inch.
