Good call I should have done that... I’ve got the pipes in the truck now but left loose on the manifolds figured I’d tighten those last if I’m not mistaken?
Turbo came apart easily I thought I’d fight that housing for sure but it was no stress thankfully.
Just waiting on parts now. Torque specs on all those 12 point turbo bolts? Prob should antisieze those or will it just burn off?
Thank fellas
I put high temp anti-seize on all of the exhaust bolts. It did smoke a little the first time it got up to operating temp but it is supposed to be good to something around 2400 F so I doubt it all will burn off.
My balanced assembly should be here today! Hoping I don’t screw it up. I’m confused there’s no torque spec hopefully it has instructions to clear things up haha.
Hey fellas, I’m trying to work up the courage to do up pipes on my E99 F250. I’m sitting on 260k miles and the stock up pipes leak pretty bad. My turbo likely hasn’t ever been touched should I upgrade it with a KC balanced assembly or should I go straight to the stage 1 drop in?
For towing I have a 24’ bumper pull camp trailer and a bed full of dirt bikes. Most of the time though I’m unloaded exploring the west desert of Utah.
Kinda looking for a little pep talk and slight steer in the right direction haha. Don’t want to do this job twice and would like to wake the ol’ girl up a bit. Injectors are stock but I do have a Hydra chip. EGT’s never go over 1200 even pulling I-80 with a Wyoming headwind.
Leave the turbo and just do up pipes or? I have swag performance up pipes with a new collector and hardware. I ‘think’ I have everything I need for that.
Thanks guys,
Andrew
i have a KC balanced upgrade NIB. i will glady ship it to you cheap s I have decided o wait for the -3 or -4 upgrade. contact me.

KC has videos up and instructions on their website I believe.
Any questions during the process, give KC a call.
The compressor wheel has a torque spec in Inch-Pounds. The wheel mark should align with the shaft when set to the same point as KC’s balancing.
Fought that rear turbo clamp for what seemed like forever.. finally got it. Put the truck together and went for a test drive. Man, once that things spinning it comes alive! Very noticeable improvement.
I kinda think I need more fuel (injectors) but I’ve been down that road and it ain’t cheap haha.
Really looking forward to pulling my camp trailer through the mountains. Thanks again for all the help you guys I appreciate it.
