I ‘think’ so. I ordered an extra compressor outlet oring I fight that one on the spider every time the turbo goes back in—ugh.
I put a little dab of Permatex purple high-tack gasket sealant on the compressor outlet O-ring and it holds the O-ring in place perfectly. I'm not sure if it is perfectly kosher to do that but I do not have any boost leaks, and boy did that ever get rid of fighting to keep that O-ring in place.
Did you manage to get the last 4 bolts out and the snail off the centre section?
I had to go buy a 1/4” drive 12 point 8mm for the 2 lower bolts. My 3/8 drive was too fat to fit in there.
Then separating the snail from the centre section was fun. Ended up using a chisel to get it moving. Didn’t hardy make a dent and cleaned up nicely for reassembly. I used a file for the chunky stuff from the chisel but the rest I cleaned up with a wire wheel.

Nice thanks I’ll give that a shot!

No, so I had to order a socket for those last two it’ll be here today. Wish me luck it’s come apart decent so far.
Should I consider an aftermarket waste gate like the banks big head or the one I saw with the spring (mechanical)? Up till now I’ve just ran mine unplugged. Not sure if that’s a good idea or not haha
Hopefully you have a vice or a good solid table and some clamps.
Here’s a snip from my thread. I’d heard that they were difficult but wasn’t aware just how much. Having done it once now I’d just go straight for the chisel.

Don’t waste your money. In fact while you have it out now is the perfect opportunity to crank your wastegate down tighter. Commonly referred to as the 7 turn mod. You can go 10, 12 whatever you feel like.
Basically you are preloading the spring more to overcome the turbine pressure. There is a pinch point on the collar so it is a pressure fit onto the rod so be careful when trying to turn. There has been more than one report of people breaking that rod while trying to get it freed up.
Good idea to dry fit the new uppie collector to the turbo on the bench. My cheapo Dormans had a badly misplaced alignment pin. I chose to blend the passages to smooth out a bunch of jagged edges.

Good call I should have done that... I’ve got the pipes in the truck now but left loose on the manifolds figured I’d tighten those last if I’m not mistaken?
Turbo came apart easily I thought I’d fight that housing for sure but it was no stress thankfully.
Just waiting on parts now. Torque specs on all those 12 point turbo bolts? Prob should antisieze those or will it just burn off?
