I have heard that a pure straight pipe is bad for the PS. Is this a myth, because i would love to take that big cat off right off of the turbo!!

powerstrokin95, can you elaborate on what you have heard. I know of no problems other than it can be too loud at certain rpm's, but not a big deal. I like the tone and turbo whine. Plus going 4" straight was cheaper than replacing the stock pipe.

I believe what he may be talking about is this. I have heard peope discuss the psd losing a bit of low end with a straight exhaust. I can deal with 5-10 ft/lbs to have a better breathing engine and lower EGT's.

Anything that improves exhaust flow will result in lower EGT's

yes, low end may drop a little bit, it did in mine but don't notice it anymore.. seems normal now, however, it will help to increase hp and torque because of the easier flow and moving more air without a cat or muffler, and egts are lower hope that helps

Catalytic Converter? I don't remember seeing one on my truck. Is it hidden somewhere?
