I agree. A lot of things get over analyzed that we never used to give a second thought about.

Honestly, what you just said there, soup bean, is why I hope that my 2014 4runner is the newest vehicle I ever have to own, and I just bought a truck as old as myself (technically, it was born 6 months before me in March '94). I already love that I'm confused by this truck because it seems that it pretty much doesn't need a specific fluid for anything. (please don't tell me I need ZDDP for the 4.9l cuz I already got set straight that any modern 5w-20 synthetic works just fine hahah)

i check diff fluid every 6 months or so and change it every 2 years. but i used to ride my vehicles hard and put them away wet. it was nothing for me to put 50,000 miles a year on trucks. now i am down around 5,500 mile a year.
