MAP Sensor connector question
I am noticing the "check engine" light comes off and on for 30-60 seconds intermittently when I drive my 1996 Ford F250 4x4 with the 5.8 EFI, it currently has 175,1xx miles and I have driven it nearly 10,000 miles since owning it. Lately over the last few weeks I have gradually been looking over my electrical connectors on parts in my engine compartment, cleaning the plastic and putting on fresh di-electric grease on the terminals.
I have noticed that my MAP sensor electrical connector wiggles after I re-attach it to the sensor itself. I'm wondering if the plastic connector end is worn out and if replacing the plastic connector is worth a try.

Instead of randomly disconnecting components and cleaning them, why not just read your engine codes and see why the ECU is unhappy?

If the light flashes but doesn't store a code you have a computer problem.
As far as the MAP connector goes... it has a foam seal that degrades/shrinks. A new connector would fix this.
