I have a friend that is interested in a car in Gwinner, ND, it's about a nine hour drive one way from here in SE Wisconsin. It's a long ways to see this car. Before driving all the way and finding out the car was sold. The seller won't hold the car, even with a small cash deposit. I was hoping maybe someone here might live nearby. I know North Dakota is big state with a lot of nothing between towns and I wouldn't expect anyone to drive a hundred miles to look at the car but if you're near this town let me know.
I searched through the members list and found about 50 '48-56 truck owners in ND, none of them have posted here in some time. There were two that posted in 2024 sometime and only a few posts. I was hoping to find a regular contributor so I'd know the person. Oh, well, I guess I'm out of luck.
Stu, searched the members in SD as you suggested, came up with the same results. Only a couple of member were recently active, January of 2025 and of those they only posted 1 or 2 posts. I was hoping to find an active member, hopefully I've conversed with and would trust enough to take a look at this car. I checked the ad this morning and the car was still being offered. I sent my friend a text to see if he was still interested in persuing the car, he hasn't got back to me. He's a retired guy in good health and has the time to do this kind of stuff, I have to work so I don't have time to waste on an empty chase.
If you’re talking about the 35 Ford, or the Roadster that was posted the gentleman has a YouTube channel. “Mortske Repair”. I believe did a video in depth on each vehicle offered. Pretty straight shooter from what I’ve seen. I believe the ‘35 Ford has been sold by now.
