Looking to install my firewall insulation so I can then begin installing heaterbox, pedals, wiring etc. My question is, can I install firewall insulation and then slide carpet up under it or does carpet need to be put down first? I just don't want to put everything in and then have to pull it back out to lay carpet. Thanks
Rephrasing the question....How far up firewall does carpet go on 66 F100. Does it stop at floorplan/firewall seem or does it actually extend up higher onto firewall? Anyone??
You can do them in either order. Easy to tuck the carpet under the 1 inch of the firewall insulation as you pull it into place. That's how they would have done it at the factory - although only certain trucks got carpet and all others got a rubber floor mat. Either way the firewall insulation was installed first.
