I've seen this discussed and I ordered the part and finally had a chance to install it.
I have a 2021 Super Duty XLT. I use the app for remote start but decided I wanted a fob option for when cell service is weak. Ordered KN1Z-19A361-A from fairwayfordparts.net ($199). Install took less than a minute, spent an additional 30-45 minutes mounting and routing the wires. Used this
as a guide, I also reviewed the ford instructions Essentially once I connected the module to the OBD T-cable I cycled the key and the truck flashed the lights a couple times (confirming the module was recognized).
I mounted it behind the dash panel with the headlight controls (see pics) and drilled a couple holes (highlighted in green) to mount the box. Super easy, I highly recommend!!!
