Hey guys - 2020 F350 w/7.3L. It's the XL trim so it did not come from the factory with the trailer brake controller. I purchased/installed a controller and now need to enable the trailer brake feature but unsure how to do that. I figured Forscan, but do not see any options for that on the spreadsheet on this site. Most the stuff I found online showed guys using IDS which I do not have. The only things I can find on Forscan is enabling TPMS for trailers. If anyone out there has had to install one of these that has any input or just anyone with any intel is much appreciated!
On my 2019 I'm pretty sure I enabled the following, but can double check this weekend:
IPC Module -> Trailer Brake Control Module
IPC Module -> Trailer Brake Gain Setting

Just for clarification, my 2020 XL came from the factory with a brake controller.
I don't think that is going to change anything with your Forscan issue though.
Yea original owner of mine must have not selected as an option. My reasoning in mentioning is I believe if you don't have the feature from the factory then you have to get a specific controller and then have the ECU flashed. Where as if it came from the factory with a controller then it should be plug and play with a new controller. This is my understanding, could be wrong.

No controller from the factory. Installed used OEM controller and enabled through Forscan.

Got it. I was able to go into ForScan and enabled both Trailer Brake Control Module and the gain like you mentioned. I noticed also there was a third option there for "Trailer Brake Module" which I believe is the module under the dash by the ebrake. That was also disabled. Do you know if that one also needs to be enabled? Maybe see what you have yours set to. Much appreciated!
