Door Lock Gremlins
Was waiting until warmer weather to look deeper into this, but since it happened on this trip, I thought I'd post now.
My door locks with Fob have acted weird since I had this vehicle. Driver door UNLOCK operates like 95% of the time, all the others 10%. Everything does work with door switch all the time. Everything LOCKS with Fob.
Noticed a while back on a trip, and again noticed yesterday. Drove from Atlanta to Pensacola, FL... like 350 miles. When we left motel to go eat dinner.... all the door locks UNLOCKED !?!?! And so far, the past couple of days have been working. Why the hell after a long trip would it work?? Any thoughts ??
BTW... the battery is only like 12 months old and haven't had any issues with battery as far as I know.
Only drive this vehicle 2-3 days a week... and the F250 rest of time.
Like I said, haven't looked at this really. Figured I'd have to replace PCM... and it needs a new key switch. Have Windows Forscan on my laptop, and I think I read you could use that to program your keys, if
I replaced PCM, etc.... right ?
