I have some light rust where the door skin folds over onto the main door body. You have to open the doors to see it. I also have some rust in the drip rails. I plan to cut out small sections, weld in patches, re-calk, and prime with epoxy primer. The PO had a section of the vertical rail removed. I'm hoping I don't find sloppy work beneath the paint and bondo.
I am also stripping the entire hood. It is a spider web of cracks in the acrylic enamel paint.
I wonder if there is anything special I need to do while prepping for paint.
