No Crank, No start help
1987 f-150 4.9 i6 automatic trans
I'm getting a no crank no start. Yesterday, it was clicking when i turned the key, now it's just not doing anything. When I bridge the fended mounted solenoid, it cranks but won't turn over. Key will not do anything. fuel pumps come on (they're brand new) Battery, starter, battery cables, alternator, and solenoid are also all brand new. As is the ignition switch and various other parts. I'm stumped. I'm thinking maybe bad grounds, but have no idea where to look.

If it cranks, then it has to turn over. What are you saying? It cranks but does not start?
If that is the case, start with a good foundation. Do you have spark? Do you have fuel? Is the fuel injectors working? Are there any intake leaks?
New does not mean good so it really does not matter what new parts you have.
If it does not crank over with the key, I would start with that. Once that problem is resolved, then work on the rest. There are many ways to resolve a problem but I've found gathering facts [ie testing] seems to allow you to make better decisions.
