turning point pin box

Wife and I are looking at a used 2019 Rockwood ultralite that has a lippert turning point hitch, as we have an 8 foot bed I would be using the hitch locked and pivoting on the pin. My concerns are about stability and adjustability. I know that they can be locked in place with 2 bolts but I am not sure about how this affects the durability of the pin box itself. It also looks as if there is no adjustability up and down with the pin box almost as if the 5th wheel was designed to use only this pin box, there is only 1 level row of bolt holes in the frame of the trailer and it appears as if even a different pin box would not have a height adjustment. Anyone have any opinions on any of this?

I have a 2021 Rockwood with the same pin box, but in my case I use the rotating feature since I have a short bed. I've never had any issues with mine and the Rockwood frame is designed to use it either way, so I don't think you'd have any problems.

Correct, the Turning Point pin box has no elevation adjustment. To correct the elevation on mine I adjusted the arms on my (fixed) B&W hitch. One other thing to note is that the bolt pattern on the Lippert Turning Point pin box is unique, meaning you can't easily swap the pin box to anything else.

By the way, we love our Rockwood, and have no complaints at all about the build quality. Good luck, and happy trails!

Thankyou for your input, it was very much appreciated as this will be our first rv purchase. I did some more research after I posted this and it appears the pin box itself shouldn't be a problem but I will have to so some measuring of the installed height of the hitch before we decide what to buy. We bought a new F-350 which has a very high bed side height and I want to measure twice and buy once. thanks for your help
