I did my first plug change at 80k, which was too long. They were looking pretty dark. Been 50k since then, and the plugs have not looked as bad as the first time. Have never seen the need to change the boots, I have inspected them every time. I might do them on the next change as the truck has flipped over on 200k now.

Just an FYI, my 2020 3.5, 63k, I feel the plugs could have gone longer. All gaps 31-32.

I am on borrowed time it seems, I have a 2.7ECO and still run the original plugs at 122Kmi. I am averaging 19.3mpg and she idles pretty good. My question is where do you buy your plugs and boots as I want to swap mine.

I do my oil between 3 and 5k, have had the transmission flush done and pulled the rear driveshaft and re-lubed the slip joint to eliminate that clunk.

I got my plugs and boots from Rock Auto. I also bought oil and filter, air filter and cabin filter and with shipping was more than fair. I was disappointed in the shipping though, everything thrown in a box, lightly packed. My air filter was crushed from the 5qt jug of oil,but I made useable.

Thanks PJ, I will have to look at them. Been buying my Motorcraft oil at Walmart since they have the best price so far.

I 'spose we could do that, except it's a 3-hour drive to get to the nearest Walmart.

I envy that actually. I remember when it would take an hour to get to the closest one. I didn't move closer to a Walmart, Walmart moved closer to me.

We use Costco for that, except it's pizza and hot dogs.
