The issue is with them needing to keep them looking "Period Correct". That's what makes them have to combine features into only a couple *****.
My option loaded Retrosound 4 in my 65 F100 isn't actually difficult, it's just the lack of repetition since it isn't my daily. Sometimes takes me a couple attempts to adjust sound, clock, display, or source if I've been driving my modern vehicles and then jumped in the 65. If i drove it more, wouldn't be an issue. I have no complaints but also have no comparison to other vintage repop radios.
I found a Retrosound 1 AM/FM radio which doesn't have as many features at the 4 that you installed but it does have built in Bluetooth and a microphone for phone calls. Made for 81-86 F100's and only $236. I'm hoping that with less features it will be easier to use. The Classic Car USA 740 Radio that my friend installed has all the features of the Retrosound 4 and runs $369 so I'll save a few bucks and hopefully it won't be the pita that the 740 is,
I don't recall the retrosound model i purchased but its very easy to use....and this is coming from someone who easily gets pissed when technology doesn't just work. When i get into the truck w my phone, the truck sees my phone and connects to it seamlessly...i dont need to mess w buttons to make it work. In the same way, if i am in the middle of a song and hop out at the store or gas station it goes right back to where the song left off when i hit the ignition. easy peasy.
So I finally got around to installing the Retrosound Motor 1 am/fm Bluetooth radio with their 5X7 Retro manufacturing D-572 speaker and a ClassicCarStereo hidden amplified antenna. The radio is advertised as made for 1980-86 F100's, but it does require a bit of adjusting to make it fit perfectly. That said, I'm very pleased with the results. Reception seems to be fine with the antenna mounted on the lower side of the passenger front window. I'm so glad I went with that antenna instead of drilling a hole through the fender. I love connecting Pandora classic or 50/60's music from my phone to the Bluetooth. It pairs up very easily and sounds great.
That looks great, also really like the black on blue dash you got. When I get around to getting a radio for my truck this was the one I was considering. Glad to here the good report.

Thanks, my truck was ordered radio delete so it took some time to find all the parts I needed for the installation. I was fortunate to find them on ebay, especially the Bezel in such great condition.
Here you go. Some of the one's I saw on Amazon said you can hide theirs under the dash, but this one from ClassicCarStereos said for the best reception mount it to the window so that's what I did. To me it's not that noticeable or obtrusive and I'm getting good reception.
