I posted this in a few Bronco Raptor groups/forums and got no response. My apologies in advance for non super duty post but hoping I might find some help here. This group is way more active and helpful than almost all other super duty forums/groups I am in.
We just bought a 24 Bronco Raptor. Super fun vehicle. One thing that has been an issue since day one is when the person in the bronco makes a call via CarPlay wired/wireless there is a deafening roaring noise in the background. Initially I thought the mic might be capturing the cabin noise but that isn't it. What is odd is the noise level rises/falls at times and is not affected by speed or increased cabin noise. What is even more strange is that the sound is not present on a bluetooth call. It is not related to a phone. We both have iPhones and it will do it with either phone via CarPlay. Both phones are fully updated iPhone 15 pro. Bronco is fully updated with newest version of sync.
Reason I ask here is I had the carplay mic issue with my 21 450 from new for a couple of months and it took sharing threads from here to get my local dealer to dive into it. Along with all of my troubleshooting I had done prior to calling them. Eventually they replaced the apim and the problem was immediately resolved.
I'm not sure if that is what I am looking at with the Bronco but was hoping that if anyone else has had this issue they would reply with what was done to resolve it.
