Sail Pod Tweeters and 1999-2016 F-Series installs
This is going to be heavily edited.
2008-2010 "Audiophile" Stereo F250/F350
P/N: 7C34-17D698-BDW (and others):
Contains a single tweeter with 2nd Order High Pass Filter:
C1: 7μF 50v +/-10% Bi-Polar Axial electrolytic Capacitor
L1: ~0.18mH Inductor (Black, unmarked)
3,500Hz High-Pass at 12db per Octave Slope
Uses a Ford Male Pin Speaker connector with an inline circuit board - Very much plug-n-play, but you will have to remove the door panel to install the harness/wiring.
Can use the Ford tweeter harness P/N: 8C3T-19A123-AB to do a "No-Cut" install.
Or hack/solder your wires/connectors of choice.

The harness puts the two speakers in parallel at/above 3.500Hz, so depending on the audio the highs still come from at your feet.
It was nice having the tweeters at the dash level and made a difference, but NOTHING like using a Polk DB6502 tweeters in the pods, wired up to the (included) crossover.
The Polk 6.5" speakers lose a ton of bottom end with the factory head unit (no amp), so I kept the factory 5x8's in place, only not they run 30Hz-3,500Hz.
The sound stage is MUCH better, and I still have the bass.
Trying to add some new 5x8" speakers (Ford 7U5T-18808-BA) from a Ford kit that comes with the wiring pigtails, will report back.
