OH yes!Ford halted production due to many failures!
What's your source on that with the 23+ models? The recall was for the previous generation due to what look like a BS reason, bio diesel deposits due to covid, but this is the first I've heard of them halting the current iteration of the engine due to this.
Background, I own a 2020 RAM EcoDiesel and I have the newly revised CP4 in it (per the recall). I can say it is quieter than the old pump. Maybe the old one was going to break and send junk through the fuel system, but apparently it didn't.
Not sure what Bosch did to the new one, possibly hardening of materials. Highly doubt they pinned the roller cam that some aftermarkets do.
Also that new Cummins is now rocking a Bosch CP8. Curious to know if Ford will migrate to that down the line.
Looking at buying a Ford PSD potentially next year, and I'm doing my research now.

If you were to take this guy serious, you would be chasing rainbows. Just simply ignore as he provides no value.
Have we heard of any CP4 failures in 23+ trucks? There must be a few getting some miles on them now.
The last I spoke with my cous during Christmas who is a Ford tech, has not replaced any so far excluding a couple with DEF contam. Having said that, I'm interested in the Cummins version called the CP8 and wonder if any of the improvements will make it to the Ford version.

I believe if they ca fix this problem, we will have about as close to a bullet proof truck as modernly possible. Looking at a '26.

I still have my '12 with 300k miles and typically don't keep a truck this long, but this 6.7PSD has been really good. If Ford stays on their pattern, the '26 could be a new truck design and we'll have to see as for emissions equipment. I suspect Ford will implement a version of the CP8 as well.
