I could not find on here where I mentioned my trucks transmission pan having a stripped bolt or bolt hole. this is the part a member had suggested which I ordered and just recieved:
Anyway, I recieved the pan from Amazon that a member suggested and I am adding pics of it:
It Does have a drain plug though the Amazon pic did not show the bottom of the pan - it looks like a very good eom reproduction, all of the mating surface lays flat agains the concrete floor, no spaces fromany warpage.
Pretty, does it still have that new transmission pan smell? So what color are you going to paint it? I vote red, it's a go fast color. Guaranteed to shave 2 tenths off your 1/4 time.

This is the color of the one that is currently on the transmission - "Silver Bullet Silver"
The current pan is Not leaking whatsoever but the bolt hole is stripped or the bolt is, I did not want to find out by taking the bolt all the way out.
plus this new pan has: "aluminum colored matal flake" in the aluminum which helps the trans operate 25 - 35 degrees cooler - I did my due dilligence on this pan so I know this Is Accurate.

UPDATE:
I R&R'd the transmission pan today. I took some pics of the bottom of the transmission with the pan off, and some pics of the inside of the old pan. The reusable gasket fell off easily and in one piece when I dropped the pan and I was able to re-use that pan gasket.
There was some very fine metal dust type stuff stuck to the magnet inside the pan the amount seemed to be normal, no chunks of any kind and fluid was RED, so it was fresh and had been changed lately.
Both the old and new pan looked like exact matches so the one I got off Amazon was a Good Pan.
I forgot to take a pic of the new pan installed on the transmission. Per an online fluid fill suggestion i put in 6.4 quarts of Motorcraft Mercon V.
On the way back from doing this job and after the trans fuid warmed up I noticed a lot more power, each upshift sceeched the tires and only at half throttle so I think this pan with the Silver Bullet color and aluminum metalflake in the paint was a good choice.
Also... I could NOT get that drain plug to come out of the old pan, it just keeps turning, tried forcing a screw driver into between the pan and the washer but even doing that the bolt would not come out so I do Not know if the Drain Bolt threads or the Drain Hole threads were the issue.
*The owners manual does not say how much fluid to re-fill when dropping the pan only. I went with the 6.4 qts per what someone had reported on here somewhere?
the bottom part of the magnet has been wiped off with my finger
Yes, I know to check on flat ground, vehicle driven and warm, check in Park with engine Running
The end of the dip stick is hard for me to get an accurate visual reading... it is Round, white plastic and every time I check the fluid level that white plastic piece with the check warm, check cold, level areas, always has trans fluid on different areas of that white plastic piece.
Is the an aftermarket dip stick available for these transmissions that is metal and flat, all the way down to the tip?

I wasn’t intending to insinuate you didn’t know. Sorry for my poor communication skills.
There are times when people will check the fluid with the engine off etc. Then it takes a while to figure that part of the story out and help them. So I’ve just made a habit of stating the criteria while recommending to check the level.
You had mentioned filling it to a volume based on internet results. I was just wanting to suggest setting the level by the dipstick instead. I can’t help with how to get a good reading. Checking trans fluid is always tricky.
I've found the white plastic end with the little honeycombs to pretty easy to read. Don't pay any attention to fluid being on various parts of the stick, just look at what level the little honeycombs are filled to. They typically only fill if they are actually submerged in fluid.
