When someone goes in for service, where do the notes end up on a Ford service order? Do they go back to Ford, as I would assume? Specifically a TELLUS Internal note. I went in for an oil change and SSM work, but just want to verify where these additional notes go. TIA.
Followup: If they do indeed go to Ford, are they permanent? Editable?
Further context, there were notes unrelated to the service that I requested to be performed on my paperwork. I’m sorry to be so vague, I’m trying to figure out what they’ve done versus what they’ve said.
Well, like any business anywhere, you don't have a right to be served, so if they do have something on OASIS about being a hostile customer, they could refuse to service the vehicle. I learned long ago that if the person giving you services isn't being an ***, but being honest, don't be an *** to them.
OTOH if the person who is supposed to be taking care of your issue and ignores you, Be an ***, make them look as incompetent as they come across to you.
I actually got a store manager demoted at Home Depot. I had ordered a Minisplit with ducting and stand, there were two different ducts, a 7' and 15'. Everything but the 7' arrived, but they marked it as complete, and after consulting they were going to reorder the 7'. I get an email that it arrived at the store, I go to pick it up a day or so later, not there. They can't find it, so called the store manager. She comes up, doesn't say a word, gets on the phone and I have no clue what she is doing, but she isn't talking to anyone. By chance I check the tracking on the website and find it was already picked up. I tried to get her attention, the Biotch turned away from me and ignored me, so I put the page right in front of her face to point it out and she goes off on me.
I asked her, WHO pays your salary? I pointed at the customers who were around and said THEY do, you serve ME, its your Job, without them you have no job. Who picked up MY paid for product? Afterwards I contacted HD corporate and left a full complaint, turns out it wasn't her first complaint and she was demoted. I saw her about 3 weeks later stocking shelves, walked up to her and said, don't F with the customers and walked away.
Another guy working there pulled me aside and said he will reorder and have it shipped to my house, I thanked him for his great customer service and left, it arrived 2 days later.
That’s a good point, and a happy ending. Mines a little different in that I brought the truck in, and they accused me of tuning it. I hadn’t, and I said as much. They said, oh, we saw the banks gauges and assumed… but they went ahead and got the SSM taken care of. Fast forward to me picking it up, they had put in the system, and my paperwork that they were trying to get my powertrain warranty voided. It’s on the paperwork. I know with the magnusson moss warranty act that’s not supposed to be a thing, but I don’t need any more trouble if I’m out on a trip or something and run into problems.
I was nothing but cordial until I saw this on my paperwork. I may have gotten a little angry when I was talking to the sales manager, picking up my truck… but I haven’t called back to talk to service. I want to fully understand what is going on before I do. I want to understand the ramifications of them making this note, even if it’s nothing.
The way I see it, they’re essentially telling me they don’t want to service my truck at all. If that’s the case, whatever. There’s 5 dealers that are closer to me. But, I suspect this was a tech putting this in the notes and management doesn’t even know he did it. The service writer was new, and likely didn’t notice, or maybe didn’t know. Or, maybe it’s their policy and that’s exactly what they meant to put on there. I really don’t know.
I had a Derringer on my 2019 F450 (highly recommend it) and removed it before trading. I had forgotten I had also put the BANKS stickers on that state its fully CARB and EPA Compliant. I get a call from the service manager asking if I had installed a programmer or something, then mentioned the stickers. OOPS I said, take them off I removed the Derringer. While the Derringer doesnt work on anything newer than 2019, I Sure wasn't giving it away, besides doesnt work without the iDash.
