Shifting Irregularities
My 97 Explorer, V8, is shifting irregular out of 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd. This is not a constant situation. It normally occurs after a long trip (600+ miles) and then reverts back to normal shifting a day or two later.
Situation: Does not want to shift out of 1st unitl you let off the gas, but RPMs have to be above 2500 or more before it shifts. 2nd is the same way but RPMs need to closer to 3000. After you get to 3rd, everything runs fine and no apparent problems are being detected by me.
