6 months ago I bought an 07 6.0 F250 with 180,000 on the dash. Bullet proofed and egr deleted. She ran good for about 1500 miles then developed a rough idle with lots of blueish smoke at idle but would dissipate once I started driving. Got a P0284 and P0308 code and CEL. Brought it into the shop and had all injectors tested with 3, 7 and 8 failing and had them replaced. All was good until about 200 miles later same code. Replaced injector 8 again along with injector 8.
Truck ran good for awhile and threw P0284 and P0308. Brought it into the shop and injector 6 had failed and was replaced.
Fast forward to about 800 miles in since the last injector replacement.. now I am getting the same codes again along with blue smoke at idle with a rough idle.
Any ideas on what to check would be appreciated.
Fuel pressure is good (per mechanic) I’ve considered blue spring
FICM varries on my SCT monitor from 46.49-47.49 I have seen it dip down to 43v
Running hot shot additives
T6 rotella 15w40 with OEM filter
43V means bad FICM.
Do you know the source of the injectors?
For HEUI injectors a clean oil ist very important. Was an engine oil change done BEFORE injector replacement?
And: not all mechanics knowing what they are doing (my experience on 6.0 engines)

OEM injectors
oil change before and after.
fuel filters replaced as well
#8 seems to be the problem according to the DTCs.
Does the FICM still show 43V? Then you should replace it.
You should also check the connector connections on the injector, at the FICM and the injector wiring harness (measure the 4 pins of injector #8)
The longer you run that low voltage FICM, the more damage you are doing to the injectors. Unfortunately, even after you replace it, you may still have some injector problems due to said damage. I would not drive it until the FICM gets replaced.
Look into an FICMrepair.com part if you decide to replace it.
I had an issue with one injector from Warren shortly after install and it was on my dollar to have the spool valve replaced.....at a reduced cost. Just FYI, but since then all 8 have been awesome.
After that incident the 8 have been flawless for years. Make sure your batteries and charging system are up to par.
